State Economic Development Authority

The West Virginia Economic Development Authority is charged with the responsibility to develop and advance the business prosperity and economic welfare of the state by providing financial assistance in the form of loans and direct financing and operating leases to industrial development agencies and enterprises for the promotion and retention of new and existing commercial and industrial development.

West Virginia Development Office/Department of Commerce

The mission of the Department of Commerce is to promote and preserve the well being of the citizens of West Virginia by providing a cooperative interagency system that stimulates diverse economic growth and increased employment opportunities for all West Virginians.

WorkForce WV - Region VI

WorkForce West Virginia is a network of workforce development services designed to provide West Virginia's citizens and employers the opportunity to compete in today's competitive global economy.

Lewis County belongs to the 12th Senate District, the 46th House District and the 2nd Congressional District. The Hardwood Alliance Zone is a nine county region in the heart of West Virginia's hardwood zone working to provide a competitive advantage for hardwood industry business relocation, expansion and development.

I-79 Development Council

The i-79 Development Council is a regional marketing and business development organization that serves North Central West Virginia. The Council promotes economic diversity and business growth, and facilitates collaboration between all sectors to market capabilities and connect to opportunities.

Southern Economic Development Council

The Southern Economic Development Council is one of the oldest and largest regional economic development associations in North America. It holds members in 17 states in the American South, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

L.U.R.E. Development Council

The Lewis, Upshur, Randolph Economic Development Council is a regional tri-county economic partnership.
